I am looking for anyone who might be able to help me get closure and better understanding of the situation. I lost my grandmother on father’s day this year and I’m having trouble being able to come to term with everything that’s happening

This picture reminds me of my grandmother and I- I can tell how much you loved her and she loved you- like a “mother”. The eyes tell all.
I would like to offer my condolences, losing a grandmother is one of the worst pains- I just lost mine a year ago & found out when she died, she left me her home. I moved into her house, and I’ve learned the hard way how grief can shadow happiness. I can offer some advice in grieving in what I’ve learned.
Don’t avoid her home if possible… I’ve learned this so deeply- Sit with the grief. Don’t run from it. I’m feeling led to say this right now but don’t escape to bad habits; they will only hide the pain and it will come back tenfold. Do something in her memory- I connect with my healing through writing music; taking care of her knock-out roses, just being present with that pain. I’ve broke down in the shower crying; I let myself feel that sorrow.
A year later, it still fucking hurts. It never goes away but it will get easier to more you sit with it. My inbox is open- if you ever need someone to talk too. I’d love to hear stories; right now I’m hearing “she knows I’ve got some good ones” with like a cheeky smile and twinkle in her eye lol
Even if you don’t msg me, keep her alive through her stories. You’ll get there babe and she’ll be right beside you leaving you little reminders. 💛
