I can do tarot readings for others fine, but when I do it for myself, I get scared lol

Hi guys!
I’ve been practicing tarot for a while now, and I love doing it on others, the messages always come so easily and I don’t have to strain to find out what is happening. But when I do it on myself, and the cards come up, I don’t get any messages and I am not sure what the message is.

It’s kinda sad, and I guess it’s because I’m scared I won’t get the correct message or if I do get a message I might perceive it in a way which is in line with what I want to hear, not what the actual message is intended to be.

Then i believe the cars will reflect my current energy, so if I’m a bit doubtful and anxious then, that will show up an it won’t necessarily be a message about the situation I’m asking about, but about my current energy.

I think I just don’t trust myself enough yet to do them for myself, but I love doing it for others (:
Anyone else experience this or know how to overcome it?

Self reading are generally harder but that greatly depends on the person. A tip I got for doing self readings in order to overcome this when starting, was to dedicate a deck to it and use exclusively the meanings given by the guidebook. It certainly helped a lot.

When I was starting out, I would write down the cards on a self reading and then wait a day. The next day, I would write down the meanings next to the cards I pulled. Somehow the lag between pull and interpretation combined with the physical act of writing down the meanings gave me the impartiality I needed to interpret the reading better.
