I used to believe in tarot, but not anymore. I found tarot is highly interpretation oriented and tarots can be manipulated by emotions and energy, so no more using tarot as any serious reading.

I did simple test paid 5 tarot reader with same life questions and all gave conflicting readings, like all scattered. Again I gave another question to two different tarot readers, they gave both different answers. That’s why I don’t relient on tarot any more.

Even for my personal use, I use it as daily divine advice, no more serious Question.

Hope I didn’t hurt any sentiments by expressing my experience. ????

If all you were trying to do was predict the future, your journey with tarot couldn’t have ended any other way. Once you see the cards as symbols a new world will open up. Until that day dawns, the way is shut.

Going into a reading with a “prove it” intention can be a surefire way to short circuit the reading. Further, the readers’ emotions and energy weren’t the only ones present in the reading. So were yours. In terms of conflicting readings, if the question was not asking to predict the future, different readers are going to give you different advice based on what they see in the cards. If you ask five friends for advice, do you get the same exact advice from each of them? If it was a “what is the future” question, the future is not cast in concrete. You might get a prediction today, but you could do something tomorrow that completely changes the outcome.

Tarot is not a perfect tool. No divination method is. And not every reader can read for every client.

Good. Go believe whatever you want. Be happy and feel confident.

As someone who used to read professionally, people going into readings for the sole purpose to prove a theory are the absolute bane of my existence and a waste of their money and my time.

This is a pseudoscience. You can’t use the scientific method on a pseudoscience.

That is how I use Tarot and see it as tbh. A psychological check up, creativity prompt, journaling device, art therapy etc

If you ask tarot the same question 5 different times… it is not going to like you.

I don’t believe that tarot has any inherent powers either, but I still love it as a powerful tool for self reflection.

The cards drawn are random, but the way I interpret them and link them to my life allows me to have a different perspective on things I’m experiencing. Plus just the act of sitting down for a reading forces me to think more critically about my life and decisions.

Cool, tarot isn’t for you. But tarot is a practice, not an airport. Why did you feel the need to announce your departure? Especially here? By all mean, if it doesn’t work for you – be free, find your bliss and happiness. But leave ppl who do connect with tarot out of it.

I think a better “test” would be to find a tarot reader you connect with and trust and have a reading(s) done by them. To me this analogy is similar to going to 5 different therapists. I’ve been to many different therapists and I’ve received different advice from all of them and, some of them sucked ass. I had one therapist who would make fun of trans people because he didn’t “get it”. Not every therapist is good or skilled or even helpful. There’s no reason to believe every tarot reader is good or even aligned with your energy.

tarot doesnt give definitive answers, they tell you things and then you do with what you want with that information. its more a guidance rsther than an answer sheet so theyre not always gonna be the same answer

This smells like bait. So does that mean you don’t believe in intuition anymore?

Tarot may be a highly inaccurate method for you. I can go out and test drive 5 cars at different car lots and have a different experience at each one. Not everything works for everyone. I don’t find it insulting at all. Your perception doesn’t affect my belief. But, it might be more diplomatic to say that you don’t care for it, instead of implying that your perception is accurate and we are all deluded fools.
