Every time I see something like this, or something the opposite of this, I wonder if I shave for myself or for others. I wonder if I really didn’t worry about what others thought if I would still do it. It’s the same with anything I’m self-conscious about. Am I self-conscious because I don’t like it, or because I worry others don’t like it?

I feel like that’s my matron goddess. I stopped shaving my pits and bikini area during the pandemic and never went back. I realized I was shaving parts of my body that people rarely saw exclusively for that outside gaze. Fuck that.

Hellll yes! Let that shit grow! In middle school I was very self conscious about my body hair so much so that I began shaving a little earlier than I needed to and even began shaving my arms. (Not my underarms, my arm arms). But I haven’t shaved/waxed my legs in over a year and haven’t shaved my armpits since I think April. I hope one day everyone gets to the point where they can decide FOR THEMSELVES if they want to shave or not, not for society or men

This is one of the best drawings I have seen in a long time. I don’t shave often, because I hate the itchiness it causes. My husband doesn’t even bat an eye when I walk around in shorts with my hairy legs. This picture is blessed and gives me the best feels. Thank you for your lovely art style 💖

I love this. My daughter went to a formal with unshaven armpits. She said that she likes hairy underarms and didn’t want to shave just to fit the ideal. I’m so proud of her.

Ya know, it occurred to me how I could very easily be the equivalent of an ‘antimasker’ but about BRAS. I hate them & yet feel conspicuous without one.
