Forums Forums Mediums I Found out that an ancestor I spoke to was real and I told my Mom. Now what?

Over the holidays, I visited my family out of state, and my mom showed me her genealogy on her computer.

Months ago, possibly a year ago, I channeled a spirit who seemed to have the same name as one of my cousins. He had dark hair and a mustache. I saw him wearing a railroad uniform. I also saw him in denim overalls out hunting in the woods with hound dogs somewhere in Appalachia.

When I was looking at my mom's computer, I found out that one of my great grandfather's had shared the same name as my cousin, had the same physical appearance as what I saw, was a railroad engineer, owned several dogs and lived in West Virginia.

My mom is open to members of the family being psychic, but I don't know how much I can tell her about what I saw. I feel like I became more willing to explore my spiritual gifts once I left her church and became more open-minded about practices that I used to view as witchcraft. I took mediumship classes at a metaphysical bookstore, and I regularly meditate.

I've already talked to my mom about other spiritual experiences I had with deceased family members. This included my grandma, who used to read palms when she was alive back before she became religious.

How do I communicate with my family about mediumship stuff whenever our ancestors are coming through? I don't want to scare my family. However, sometimes, the messages are for all of us.
