I posted this in another subreddit but I'm also curious about the spiritual significance behind it, so I decided to post some of it here too. I think I'm somehow a natural lucid dreamer because I've been doing it ever since I could remember, and I lucid dream every single night. The thing is that I seem to have a very specific type of lucid dreaming that I'm curious if anyone knows anything about, especially spiritually. It's not like the "I want to fly" type of lucid dreaming where you can make anything happen, but every time I dream I can always do all of the following:
A) I can think rationally, prioritize and actually have a coherent train of thought while dreaming
B) I know that I'm dreaming regardless of how realistic or engaging it is, and always remain aware that I'm asleep so my actions while dreaming don't actually matter
C) I know how to wake myself up on command. This is either by performing some action in the dream like jumping off a ledge, or I can just sort of.. will myself to awaken and it almost always works. It's very useful for nightmares
D) Every time I wake up from a dream, if I fall back asleep I'll always re-enter the same dream and pick up right from where I left off.
E) I can retain information I remember when awake and use it in dreams. This, coupled facts C and D, means that I often will get information in a dream, wake myself up to Google the answer to it, and then fall right back asleep and re-enter the dream now knowing the answer to whatever it is I was wondering. I often use this to answer questions I have during my dreams.
And this isn't even mentioning the time I had a very-obviously prophetic dream foretelling the death of a family member (which is a story I can tell if anyone is interested) and met Odin and Thor in a dream. I don't know if any of this is normal. Can other people do these things, or am I just weird? Thanks!
