I’d like to learn more about sigils

Can anyone direct me to a good source?
Is there a book that lists sigils and their meanings? I’ve seen some people say they create them- are there set ones and then personalized ones that are like art/creative endeavors?

for creating your own, i recommend [runesoup](https://runesoup.com/2012/03/ultimate-sigil-magic-guide/) “sigil reboot” which explains the basics of sigil magic

if you want premade sigils, then you may actually be wanting runes or glyphs, like graveyardgnome said

The concept of “sigil” is mostly used to talk about the “chaos magic” method of creating these symbols through channeling and drawing your intent from an affirmation. You may use other people’s sigils if they put them out there to be used, but be aware that’s how they were created, so you might as well make your own. I myself prefer to use more traditional symbols like staves and runes, so I get what you’re looking for when looking for set “glyphs”.

Laura tempest zakroff has a book on sigil witchery – I haven’t read it yet but it’s on my list of most wanted books. She’s also done a few on her youtube channel. That’s as good a place to start as any!

Wicca isn’t for everyone but the book wiccapedia has so much knowledge in it about spells and witchcraft I am not wicca myself but I’ve read the book it covers pretty much everything

The only thing you have to know about sigils is that you have to put ALL of your intention into it and everything will work just fine, weather you drew a pre made sigil or you made it yourself
