If someone can see spirits, are spirits ever able to hide from them?

Hey! I’ll answer this, but keep in mind this is only from my own experience. Every medium/psychic is different, all our gifts work differently. I am 21 years old, I have always been spiritual, but began mediumship training 3months ago. I mainly see spirits with my third eye (my physical eyes will be open but my mind will flash the person there, I don’t actually see anyone with my physical) but I have seen spirits with my physical eye. Anyway, spirits can hide themselves from you if they wish not to be seen or if they feel like being seen may overwhelm or scare you. Most mediums have conscious and unconscious boundaries that they do not wish to see certain energies/spirits. Asking the spirit to see them after assuring they are from the light is what id advise.

Yes, they can choose of whether for you to see them or not. And some who don’t understand they have this ability will hide. Sometimes behind you, or around a corner and such. My grandmother for ex. I saw her and it startled her. She doesn’t come around now when I’m aware and awake.

In my experience, yes.
There’s a spirit in my grandmother’s house who hid from me the moment he could tell that I saw him.
As far as how they do it, I can’t really say.

Yes, spirits can definitely hide. Sometimes it’s knowingly and other times not. Like for instance different astral planes.

From my experience, spirits can choose to show themselves to you, however they can also still be there when you’re not paying attention. I’m a psychic medium with ADHD and I’m not always in tune to what’s around me spiritually. When that happens, I’ll sometimes get what feels like a little nudge from a spirit if they really want to be known. This happened just last week with my mother-in-law’s grandfather who came to me wanting to speak to her. He almost tapped my third eye on the shoulder and was like “hello? Anybody home?” 😂 It’s hard to explain since I haven’t put it into words before, so forgive me for any misunderstanding.

I have startled some by coming into the room and they leave. Not vanish mind you they tun and go out. Others will try to hide themselves and depending on who it is I have called them out on it. Basically telling them not to be so silly. I can still see them. Others come while you sleep and dive I to your dreams

My spirits float around unless they know I need to get up early and they can see I am watching them instead of sleeping then they will disappear, it’s their way of letting me know I need to get rest. I could watch them all night.

I cannot see spirits however a couple nights ago I had an in-depth talk with my aunt who’s a medium about her experiences. The supernatural has always fascinated me and she often mentioned that spirits would “allow” mediums to see them when they wanted to. She talked about a boy who died at her university and would often allow her to see him only between 5:00 pm and 11:00 pm. This may just be her experience though, I’m not entirely sure. She also said she hasn’t had encounters in a long time, and that there’s a procedure that has a 50/50 chance of allowing someone to either see more spirits or completely get rid of the ability. So I assume it can go either way, either spirits control how often they show themselves or mediums have different ranges of how much they can see.

They can hide.

Spirits can hide from you. They can be close by, but hidden behind a curtain , etc, or ‘physically’ off, far into the light or dark places. You can go and find them in both cases.
