I’m curious about how this “works” because I know so little about it. Just getting my feet wet in all these ideas since losing my mom. I saw her and felt her presence right after she passed but I wondered what might happen if she ever goes back into a physical body, does that mean I won’t be able to connect with her or do we all have the ability to be present on the other side of the veil whether or not we are also in physical form?

Time is not linear. All time is existing simultaneously. You can contact anyone in all timelines and dimensions. It just takes practice and awareness of what you are doing.

From my personal experiences, it seems like a lot of souls wait to reincarnate to sort of help out on the other side. It’s probably a little less hectic away from this realm. 😂

I also believe that our higher self is always present in other realms. The person may have reincarnated the rest of their spirit, but it is still possible to receive information or channeling from them because their higher self is reachable.

I think of our souls like a museum. Each wing is a different lifetime and you can visit each one, and you don’t have to reincarnate immediately. Now that being said, I think a piece of our soul always lives on in that life so it’s possible to contact people who’ve reincarnated.

So technically we are on the other side too right now?

You can always contact their higher self.

The soul fragments and splits off from its higher self.

Take an apple for example. If you cut the apple up, each piece of the apple would be a soul essence, that could be either a subconscious or a soul. Each part of the apple can be one or the other.

Each piece is still significant and serves a specific purpose. We return to the apple once we die in this physical 3D incarnation, only to split off again. It is simply for expansion and evolution.

They are not gone, just away for a bit. Hang in there. ❤️

It seems that some advanced yogis can contact a being in their next life. However, I am always a bit confused by the widespread idea in western culture that one can connect to “deceased loved ones” (and they would “remember”, and “care”). In buddhism, and in my experience, one can have contact with freshly deceased in the bardo, and then, normally, they are reborn and become “somebody else”, and I would not even want/dare to disturb these beings, let alone be able to do so. I cannot show up at a small child (or animal, or alien) telling him he used to be my grandmother 😉

We meet beings in all our various appearances in samsara, and we lose them as quickly again. Since the world exists for very long times, we have met everybody many times. Why being attached to just this one actual connection which is a memory in our current illusory self? We are “operationally closed” and therefore we have to work alone.

I’ve been around people where we all shifted from person-to-person, based on who was calling for who in previous lives. It’s like being invaded. So yes, I truly believe you can connect with them in the spirit world..or even in dreams. They can appear in another’s body. I’m not sure how much you should ever ask them to do this as it makes the living lose themselves for a bit, or even permanently. I’ve felt that maybe people should wait until they reincarnate, especially since there are those (like myself) that actually want to traverse the other side for a while and fully understand it.

I think both. Our perception of time is the only reason for one or the other. To us, they can simultaneously be reincarnated and dead in spirit form

If you ever read any of the Seth material (material from an entity called Seth channeled through a woman named Jane Roberts in the late 60s through early 80s) he presents a very interesting framework for reincarnational existences and the simultaneity of time that helps make sense of questions like this.

What if you don’t want to reincarnate and stay in the afterlife?

I experienced something very similar to the question you’re describing- my mom passed in 2019 and I’ve had regular contact with her since then – but recently she decided to come back – and very recently has been re born again on earth – and when that happened- I experienced a form of mourning all over again for some reason – I don’t understand it at all – because although it’s true, time and space is all irrelevant and all happening at the same time – it’s almost like there’s only a shadow of her left in heaven while a bigger – or main portion of her is gone .. at least from heaven – because she is now whoever this New creation is on earth again –

But I do know she’s not gone gone from heaven – it’s almost like a shadow of her is there – idk for me there was a shift – maybe I simply do need more practice – I don’t understand why I had to experience the grief as if it was a fresh loss – in these last few years I had gotten to know my mom better than I had ever known her – and when she came back to earth It has felt different- so I don’t understand that part – sorry if this didn’t help – but I just experienced this personally and I guess I want some answers too –

Reincarnation is certainly real and we’ve all been reincarnated many times – I sometimes wonder what makes us come down here again. For me personally I know that it’s for God – at least that is what I was shown when I was taken up – I was shown my spirit raising my hand and calling out to God to choose me as I would like to go down to earth and die for Him again … AGAIN???? That word echoed in my mind as I watched my current life being played out in front of me like a vhs tape on fast forward all the way to a martyrs death which essentially took my breath away when I returned to my body here on earth – I knew what I signed up for before I came down here – we all did because we had faith come here along the lines we could do it! That experience has never left me and I don’t often get to share it with anyone –

The soul reincarnates; the consciousness moves on
