I’m a beginner witch, I tried to make a small Altar in my bedroom. Can I get some tips on how to improve it?

I think it’s beautiful! My aunt taught me to move 12 things a day… but daily changing and sprucing helps bring in the new and get the old energies out

I would suggest an altar cloth.

a bowl of water with a sprinkle of sea salt in it. Maybe a stone for the earth. Fire, water, air and earth you have it covered.

It’s gorgeous! I love the idea of surrounding him with feathers!
There is no right way to create an alter, so don’t feel like you have to add or take anything away to make it better.
As far as suggestions go, I’d suggest getting a small incense burner simply because scent helps some people quite a bit with focus and meditation.
My roommate also worships within the Egyptian pantheon, and she typically uses Egyption Musk and Pyramids if you need any scent recommendations.

Yours looks really cool, and I’m lowkey borrowing ideas lol
Perhaps have small boxes around that you can store talismans, incense, charcoal, other ingredients and herbs if that’s your thing inside.
Candles, lamps, lighting, plant life and flowers along with exquisite vases come to mind as well.
Keeping cool looking tools (wands, athames, rings, talismans) on the altar like you’ve done with your sigils are also an option.

It’s whatever YOU want. It’s like asking someone how to improve your bedroom decor. It’s a personal thing between you and whatever deity you choose to work with.

Thoth is a deity of knowledge. Maybe “modern” books or something “new” that an Egyptian wouldn’t have been able to experience. Chocolate is always a big hit.

Feathers are a really good inclusion, being as they are vessels of information. If you tie them to your head at the back with string like the native americans used to, you can download the information that the bird gathered during its time in the sky, and seeing as the ibis is one of his manifestations presumably you can download his book that way too.

Honestly, an altar can be as simple or complex as you want it.
A spell or ritual casted using a single candle can be as effective as a spell or ritual casted with stones, gemstones, precious metals, the prettiest decor, it really is up to you. You’ve actually seemed to do a good job on your altar.
One thing some beginner witches don’t catch on to is this…
You’re not a magik user… You are the magik.
There is no such thing as a “wrong altar”.
