I’m working on a staff made out of paper.

Yes, I also did something like that years ago. With paper mache (just get some newspapers, roll the pages, wrap in masking tape, then cover with paper mixed with glue/flour and water).

So, some tips:

* Put a thimble on the end that goes to the ground to protect the staff. Or else by walking/hitting the floor it will deteriorate.
* Add transparent varnish (there are matt or shiny. Your choice) to protect from drops of water (and from moulds or ants if its done with flour and water).
* By doing it as you said, you already have two elements ( crystal/stone: earth, water:water). Try to bless/dedicate the staff with some inciense or fire for the other two elements. (being careful with the fire)

When I get the supplies, I’ll paint it red, tape a crystal ball to the top, and make a snake out of clay to wrap around the crystal ball and top of the staff. It’s going to look awesome.
