Intercepted sign question. I don’t really understand how to read them. For example if there is a double zodiac sign present in the 1st and 12th house and then duplicate opposite/sister sign in the 6th and 7th, l which houses are the intercepted? 1st and 6th or 12th and 8th…or all 4? Or? I’m confused 😐🙂

    [GRAPHIC FOR AN INTERCEPTION](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/861356959818186762/861373810758123530/Interception..jpg)

    The graphic above will explain.

Do you know how to see exactly where the house cusps land? Their exact degree position? That can help, though sometimes it is just easily visible. (Those positions are listed on any good chart site.) ***Interceptions are the pair of opposite signs that do NOT have any house cusps at all landing in them.*** The duplicated signs are just what happens with an interception. They are the “duplicated signs” caused by the intercepted signs, and then the two houses that have a whole entire sign in them with no house cusp touching that sign (both signs) are the interceptions. That is, those signs have no house cusp, they are “intercepted”.

However, all that said. interceptions just don’t have any solid meaning. Don’t waste your time on them. It’s a problem with a house system. It’s a glitch that happens for some birth locations on the globe. If you were born in a place where using placidus houses causes your houses to be screwed up, just use a different house system, such as Whole Sign, or if you don’t like whole sign, use Equal House or Koch.

People will tell you that interceptions have meaning. I’ve yet to see anyone describe what is attributed to a supposed interception that isn’t perfectly explainable by delineating the chart properly and deeply in a different house system and using more tools.

Note: Please don’t use the term “sister signs”. That’s not what opposite signs are. They are a polarity. Just call them opposite signs, or if naming one, say the other is its polarity.

Intercepted signs is one of a few reasons I switched over to whole sign houses.

I’ve been perpetually confused about them as well for the longest time lol. I think the house that’s intercepted is the one that’s being swallowed up by the house sign before it or after it? Like the 1st house in your example I think would be the one intercepted… someone correct me if I’m wrong

so what you mentioned there with the same signs on 1 and 12 and the sister signs on 6 and 7 are duplicated signs

intercepted signs are two sister signs that land within a house and have no house cusp on them

if you have an interception in your chart you will also have duplicated signs
