I’m new to deity work (and really witchcraft as a whole as I’ve actually buckled down and started studying it instead of winging it), and I’ve been praying to Hades since discovering he was a deity reaching out to work with me through another witch. I’ve been trying to be consistent with praying to him every night as I live in a predominantly Christian household and need to lay low (I have a secret altar dedicated to him that I set up to pray to him).
With my recent studying of witchcraft, I’ve found myself staying up late and being tired and just drained of energy and I don’t want to approach him like this (I want to be aware and clear minded when I speak with him). I’m used to praying to a Christian god and haven’t really differentiated how I speak with Hades vs. how I used to pray (of course with different terms). I don’t want to feel like I’m being a ‘bad worshipper’ by not praying to him but really some nights I don’t have the energy to pray. Is it wiser to just push through and pray to him, or should I wait until I’m metaphorically at my best?
