If I’m on the phone with a stranger I am doing something like setting up an appointment. Therefore, it’s a business matter. Therefore, I am a professional and I talk like one. I learned it in HS business class and it’s always made sense to me.

Cancer rising. If I don’t recognize the number calling me, I let it go to voice-mail. I Google the numbers afterwards and most of the time they’re likely either scams or wrong numbers. If you’re trying to reach me for something important, text or email me.

I’m a capricorn rising. I dont like leisurely phone calls. If I’m calling someone it’s for something formal or its something that cant wait for a text message. I much prefer either texting or in person conversation. I guess that is pretty on brand for caps lol

Leo rising yet I hate picking up phone calls. I roll my eyes, take a deep breath and then act like I’m delighted with the call.

Pisces here: if I have to talk on the phone, I’m understanding and nice, unless something changes and I need to be mean (few & far between). But I also rehearse my whole conversation beforehand
