AriannaParticipantHi all,
I’ve been trying to research Jupiter returns, by way of the google, and honestly I’m not having much luck finding anything with substance – mostly vague generalities. Does anyone have any *good* resources for Jupiter returns? Or is this just not a very big astrological event in general?
Thanks in advance!

GuestSeptember 4, 2021 at 2:10 amI don’t have a resource in mind to share; however, Jupiter returns every 12 years, right?
– 12 yrs old
– 24 yrs old
– 36 yrs old
– 48 yrs old
– 60 yrs old
– 72 yrs old… etc.Does anything “Jupiterian” jump out about these ages?
– 12 yrs old – adolescence begins
– 24 yrs old – proper adulthood begins
– 36 yrs old – age requirement to be US president
– 48 yrs old – parents moving kids out of the house?
– 60 yrs old – age of retirement/mentorship role
– 72 yrs old – “elderhood”, “sagehood” beginsThe stages of life development jumped out at me.
Any other ideas?

GuestSeptember 4, 2021 at 2:10 amYou will have better luck googling for the actual transit. Use these terms: ***”transiting jupiter” conjunct jupiter***. Put the “transiting jupiter” in quotes so your results will be about a transit and not a natal aspect.
Of course, then you have to apply that transit meaning to the area of life that is represented by the house jupiter is in, and you have to factor in what any natal jupiter aspects are like, and what other aspects from other transiting planets may be happening at the same time.
THE book on transits that I think every actual astrologer has had is Robert Hand’s encyclopedic “Planets In Transit”. It’s a great resource for beginning to gain an understanding of how transits work. He gives a description of every transiting planet, in every kind of (main) aspect to every natal planet, asc and mc. He also describes each transiting planet in each house. Understand this is still cookbook. Every online source and book is nothing but cookbook, all that differs is the quality. You still have to figure out for yourself how your particular chart would adjust and shift and change any transit meaning — by sign, condition, aspects, house placement, etc.

GuestSeptember 4, 2021 at 2:10 amCheck out Caroline Casey’s “Visionary Activist Astrology” audiobook. There’s a chapter for each of the planets, and the Jupiter chapter is wonderful. I’ve listened to it several times already, and it’s always just so delicious and enlightening.
It specifically addresses the 12 year Jupiter cycle and the Jupiter return. -

GuestSeptember 4, 2021 at 2:10 amI’m having my third Jupiter return right now. Here is what I noticed:
Jupiter is in the fourth house of my natal chart. During each return I made a huge move. First return I moved across my country with my family. Second return I made another move across my country. This third return, I moved to a new country.
What house is Jupiter placed in the natal chart? How does it relate to the years of your returns? What happened?

GuestSeptember 4, 2021 at 2:10 amOn the exact day of my last Jupiter return I handpicked lotto numbers and picked 3 matching numbers, and a 4th number was off by 1 digit!
