I just had my first ever medium reading and the medium got almost everything wrong.
Thankfully he didn’t charge me as he knew I was disappointed.
He gave me lots of names that held no meaning and weren’t in my family (I’ve since asked my family if those names were anyone they knew who I didn’t and that’s not the case).
He firstly told me my father was in spirit form (when he is very much alive) and then when I said no he changed it to grandfather. But the description of my grandfather was wrong and he said my grandfather watched me as a child from the spirit realm and knew I was a very anxious child which was completely wrong again. So he changed his tune and told me it must be a sibling who is anxious
It felt like he was saying random things and when I told him he was wrong he would change tune to sound right about something
All his reviews are glowing so this has been very disappointing as I expected him to be accurate
Anyone else had this experience?

Sounds like he was playing darts and hoping something would stick. 🤦🏻♀️
Sadly this is a pretty common experience. A lot of people say, “Well, sometimes a bunch of Spirits come through and you can’t tell which is which or if it’s relevant to the client.” If that’s the case, they should say so at the time of the reading instead of guessing or fishing.
I’m glad he didn’t charge you for that. Hopefully he was just having an off day and isn’t a total sham.
A lot of people feel like they can’t for some reason, but I always suggest talking to your Medium and getting a feel for who they are and if you click with them prior to booking a reading. If they only want to book readings and make money, and aren’t open to a brief chat to discuss how their readings work, what their policies are, etc, you don’t want to get a reading from them anyway.
Try not to be too discouraged by this. Mediums are like any one in any profession, there are good ones and bad ones, experienced ones and newbies. And unfortunately there is no good system for ensuring accuracy or connectivity.

It sounds like they couldn’t connect and didn’t want to admit it. It can happen sometimes, maybe they weren’t grounded , burned out, or simply just couldn’t tap in . Especially with giving specific names. My apologies for your horrible experience 🧿✨

As a reader.. sometimes energies come in and other ones come in with them. There are many things that come into play..when communicating, it can be difficult (not always) for the reader/medium to hear, understand or make sense of the message being passed. The biggest mix up is interpreting (speaking for myself and not in all circumstances) I did a reading picking up on the energy quite strong..names, letters, scenarios..well nothing made sense to the person.. I felt compelled to do another reading where what I said previously applied.. I did not tell the other person about the prior reading. I always feel that the message is meant for the sitter..always can be changeable.. I only get bits and pieces of the other side..it is vast.. each spirit (just like each living being) is different, communicates different. Sometimes we can not get a clear line (static). Then other times it is with clarity that we hear. I am glad that he did not ‘charge’ you..but know that other things indeed do come in (and it may not be the individual you were hoping to hear from. Also, yes I have had it happen to me as a sitter where a individual was talking about someone and said who it was, how close they were to me…it seemed to be incorrect, still does not apply today…with this beautiful sub here on Reddit you have many that can help, and hopefully connect (of course no one should be charging on this site) wishing you well. Hopefully the loved one comes to communicate with you in many other or different ways.

I think this happens with every medium. It is really draining work. I feel anyone giving people a free reading are giving you their time and effort and sometime don’t connect with your person at all. But they still should be appreciated and never criticized. I put true effort on free readings and am disappointed in how many times I was so accurate and precise on many areas but can’t come up with a name and feel like the person I read is totally ungrateful. Not saying this is you at all just mean there can be frustration on both sides.

Some people can’t be read for.
It is called ‘Divine Protected’. This means no sneaking a peek, and you are in charge of your own destiny.
I have had this happen to me a few times, either complete nonsense. or was the past 3 years laid out as the future.
The most important thing I can ever advise to you is, ‘Make your own future’.
