Looking for gift ideas for my wife

Hi all, admittedly I know very little about this stuff, but over the last couple of years my wife has gotten very into what she calls “witchy” stuff. (Crystals, tarot cards, sage and incense) I dont mean to offend anyone here with my ignorance about this, I love that she’s so into it and it’s really made her happy and help her connect with herself more. She’s asked for a number of books and witchy items for Christmas, but I’d like to get her something else that she hasn’t thought of. She loves taking long baths in the dark with candles, and I noticed her candles were getting quite low. Maybe some sort of soothing candle set? That’s just one idea, I welcome any others. We have 3 young kids so anything that would help her relax during her much earned alone time would be great. I may get her a massage as well for that same purpose haha but I’d like something small and thoughtful.

Does she journal or write her practices? Maybe you could get her one, it depends on what she’s into practice wise though. Maybe other incense scents since you mentioned those?

Depending on where you’re based country wise, there’s probably witchy self care kits that include bath related items which I’m sure would be nice to get her to relax.

Though, since she’s your wife it would be lovely to get a rose quartz (necklace, ring, earrings, or just the rock itself if she wears none of those jewellery items), it’s associated with love so I’m sure she’ll appreciate it, and even if she doesn’t do crystals a lot to know immediately, I’m sure she’ll love it regardless and find out what it symbolises for herself (or you could tell her, personally I think it’ll be nicer to show you know it’s related to love, shows you care and clearly you do)

Candles are definitely a great idea oh, I would suggest getting scented candles that are made with real essential oil oh, when it comes to casting spells very effective candles would be something like pumpkin spice, apple cinnamon, lavender and rosemary is especially popular.

You are such a thoughtful spouse. Can you visit a metaphysical shop? You could have a look around one and see if anything speaks to you. You know your wife best maybe something will jump out at you as you know her soul and interests best. I myself love a good soak, recently I have been listening too meditations and healing vibrational music in the tub. Maybe something not overtly witchy like a speaker, Alexa or something similar. Unscented white candles, and candle holders large enough around, or plates for same, that the candle could fall over onto them and not start a fire. A clear quartz crystal “point”. They stand up with a point on top, and a flat base on the bottom. Don’t break the bank, but clarity is more important than size. BB.

This is a very sweet approach; thank you. With candles, be mindful that many witchy candles carry energy wrapped up in them. Getting good-smelling white candles (so, what you can buy in a store) will go a long way for good bath vibes. (White is a cleansing/purifying color, too, which is why it’s a non-issue for bath areas.)

Maybe get her an incense holder? I have one I use for cones that looks like a cauldron. It’s awesome. You might even be able to find a nice “business card” holder that she could use to hold a tarot card; I keep one on my altar with a tea light in front of it when I am trying to effect (and affect!) something.

You might consider getting her something to help manage her divination tools, too. For example, I know folks who do scrying and have tall necklace holders to manage theirs. I have a special bowl a friend made that’s shaped like a skull that I use to hold my runes.

An altar cloth might be nice, too, but that’s something that’s *very* personal for a lot of people — don’t buy just *any* altar cloth, y’know? Get one that represents her in some way — made from her favorite cloth, embroidered with her initials or a favorite animal, is in her favorite color, etc. If it’s done thoughtfully, she may love it as it comes from someone who clearly *knows* her and loves her. Or, you could involve her in the process. It depends on the person, but I know I’d personally want that for myself. But some people would prefer the surprise!

Altar cloth, tarot deck or Oracle deck with art that suits her aesthetic, a pendulum and pendulum board, a selenite charging plate, or honestly if you search Etsy for some of the things mentioned I bet it will suggest tons of stuff or shops that might spark some inspiration for you.

While it’s sweet you want to surprise her, my advice would be, give her the books and things she asked for. I can only speak for myself but I’m the most glad when people buy me what I actually put on my wish list, it feels that they respect my wishes and want to fulfil them. You can give her a small surprise additionally?

Maybe a gift certificate to a witchy/metaphysical shop in your area, or if there isn’t one, try online stores like Llewellyn? They have calendars and datebooks with planetary/astrological information and other topics of interest, plus all kinds of books and tarot cards and neat accessory items. I just checked their website and they are having a sale on certain products through the end of the year. And I’ve purchased from them in the past- very happy with their merchandise. Good luck finding the perfect gift- you sound like an amazing partner!

Any crystals given to someone with loving intentions is thAt much stronger. If you go to any local Crystal/metaphysical shop, keep her in your thoughts and see if any certain Crystal or stone sticks out to you. You can read about the stone and get more info too 🙂

Has she ever mentioned what type of witch she is? If she has you could probably search it up on Google and see what that type focuses on, then you can get her things based off of that (for example if she’s a hedge witch then maybe you can get her some things for divination, or if she’s an elemental witch maybe get her some things that include the elements). Candles sound like a good idea, maybe colored ones and/or scents. Those are pretty useful for spells. Maybe get her one of the books she’s requested along with whatever you end up coming up with.
