Medium pitched high dollar service in first call. Normal? Or am I wrong to be off put?

I spoke with a medium for the first time today. She read some very profound, surprising things right away related to the recent loss of my brother and the less recent loss of another family member (my brother is the reason I reached out to her). Quickly after that, the focus of the reading was redirected to me and things I am struggling with and need to be fixed. The call ended with saying she would like to help me heal and how much it would cost. I know this is her job. It was just off putting for her to change gears so abruptly. Is this normal? Am I thinking on this too much? Am I on the right path to learn to connect and be closer with my late brother or do I need to correct course? Any input would be deeply appreciated.

Psychics are still people. Just because they have gifts doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re saints. It’s entirely possible that you spoke to one that got greedy. Like, what sort of service was she offering, and why would it be so expensive?
