Its_Clover_HoneyMemberA friend of mine is going through a medical (pill) abortion today. I want to do a spell to help ensure that everything passes and there are no complications, but I’m unsure what herbs to use. Anybody have experience with this or have any suggestions?

GuestMay 20, 2022 at 9:02 pmI would look up herbs, ingredients, and/or crystals with healing, protection, and peaceful connotations. Set your intentions, put it all together with either her name on a piece of paper or give it to her or both.

GuestMay 20, 2022 at 9:02 pmPlease make sure she goes to her follow up appt and go in if anything feels off. I did this with misoprostol and thought I passes everything but did not and got a terrible infection. I hope she gets some comfort fast

GuestMay 20, 2022 at 9:02 pmYou could consider herbs with historical abortifacient associations, such as mugwort, tansy, pennyroyal, rue, etc. I would be careful with how you plan to use them though; don’t make a tea out of poisonous plants, for example!

GuestMay 20, 2022 at 9:02 pmAll for the herbal suggestions given, but please do some research first on the medical side before giving anything to your friend. Raspberry leaf tea, for example. It’s known as a home remedy to induce labor. Would that have any interactions with the pill/ cause complications for someone recovering from an abortion?

GuestMay 20, 2022 at 9:02 pmBasil is a solid protection herb in my experience. Makes good sauce too.

GuestMay 20, 2022 at 9:02 pmIf you’re struggling to find herbs to help, start by looking at one’s that are connected to femininity, and more specifically, female reproductive health. I remember reading about an herb with associations to abortions just the other day, but cannot remember which one. I’m sorry I cannot be of more help

GuestMay 20, 2022 at 9:02 pmYou can make a meal for her, with fresh herbs. there is plenty in the forest right now, such as nettles and ramsons. Or a light snack and herbal tea. cook with care and love `? something for her well-being afterwards. it can be hard.

GuestMay 20, 2022 at 9:02 pmPerhaps look into the medical side of plants. Often times in herbalism there will be plants that are not safe for pregnant women, then I would use those in a magickal sense.
There are a lot and I am sure some that are even common. Good luck -

GuestMay 20, 2022 at 9:02 pmPerhaps some Queen Anne? It’s too early for seeds, but I think the flowers would be lovely. Queen Anne’s Lace is widespread, so no worries about overharvesting, and the delicate white flower with blood in the center seems very appropriate here. I adore Queen Anne and feel like her flowers are very gentle and uplifting. Stick with the flowers and maybe use gloves, some folks find the leaves to be irritating to the skin. She has poisonous cousins but you can be sure that it’s Queen Anne by looking for the drop of blood in the center, lacy leaves, and her spotless hairy legs (stems are hairy and are NOT spotted). <3
