I’ve lived in Missouri my entire life. I know the politics are often just ‘effed’. But I never knew it could be like this.

I went and voted today, as I have every time I’ve gotten the chance since I was 18 (I’m 33) and I sincerely hope that some of those older folks who I stood in line with voted for the rights that their mothers fought for. But I doubt it. It’s Missouri.

Midwestern women (or women anywhere!) aren’t to be trifled with. I hope that I can see hope among the results.

Oh hey MO neighbor. I moved here about 5 years ago & learning there was only one single abortion clinic (plus the Lake of the Ozarks super spreader nonsense) kinda set my expectations for this place. Our governor can go eat medium rare chicken.

But at least we have Bush who seems cool enough?

Those of you in the deep red fighting against fascists are heroes. Thank you for your service to this country.

I have a family member that works for a state agency and you would not believe the memo that they got about “what they could and could not do” while Greitens was on site in 2018.

Missouri does suck. Despite the fact that I live near a fairly blue city I’m in a tiny, SUPER red town where I’m friends with no one because *wow*. The amount of Trump flags still flying here . . . I keep asking my husband if he’ll drive me around while I shoot flaming arrows and burn those flags down but, it’s been hot and dry so . . . XD

I don’t honestly have hope for the people in this state voting better but it’s nice to know that somewhere in this midwestern hell hole there *are* other people trying to do what’s right. You’re not alone!

It feels futile out here in Missouri, but there are more of us than you think. 💖

Keep in mind, not a big city in MO. I think we qualify as a city due to the loose regulation of the term “city”.

I’m from Missouri fellow witch! I know politics on Missouri makes me feel defeated, but im so glad to see that there are fellow feminist witches here. It makes me feel less alone in a state that is very hostile to women/people of color. My girlfriend and I are looking to expand our community of freinds after the pandemic, so message me if you are near St. Louis. We’d love meet some like minded witches!
