Please do not do mini readings on posts. New Users often do this and it conflicts with the purpose of the sub.
Please do your mini readings in r/MediumReadings.
We had some terrible unprofessional conduct occur a few years ago related to mediums trying to harm other mediums. It all started as a plethora of mediums trying to outdo each other on posts. Then there was name calling, and more.
So, we split the sub into r/Mediums for learning, development and information, and r/MediumReadings, where any medium can showcase in a comment on a post while adhering to the rules for that sister sub.r/MediumReadings is where the readings go.
At the end, before the split, there were so many posts requesting readings, that mediums could not fellowship or learn. The posts were triggering. The request posts were placed in the sister sub, and it really helped.
The subs had grown so much that to click on r/Mediums required mediums to shield just to come here.
We were becoming overwhelmed in our own little community. So, the original mods split the sub.Our sister sub r/Psychic, added r/PsychicServices and split their sub.
At that time also, there was competition, rumor spreading, and backstabbing going on. We took several months to eradicate problems, and it improved.
If you wish to demonstrate your skills, do that in our sister sub, please. Offer knowledge and advice only.
We assume most users here are mediums or curious about mediums. We do not need to compete here. We are here to learn.
We try to place these reminders each time a new group of mediums comes to the sub, who do not understand.
