I post this here as I don’t know where else to post, and I’d like advice from those who do believe in afterlife.
I had a very sweet ex who I dated briefly and who never ever had anything mean or negative to say. I didn’t know how to have relationships when I was younger so i wasn’t amazing towards him, and I am feeling a lot of sadness for him and his family and a bit of guilt for not treating him so kindly towards the end. I don’t really know how to cope with an ex dying, especially one that was truly just a kind being at heart. I want to contact him (I am not psychic) and was told that it’s likely better to wait a while before trying. I am not even sure how I would contact him but I really want to make sure he is okay

It’s normally said to wait at least a year after death before trying to contact. Light a candle for them in the meantime. Enjoy the memories you have and forgive yourself. Look for the beauty in this world and enjoy the wind on your face. After time maybe ask him to visit your dreams.
