my friend who passed away 7 years ago appeared in my dream

Hi there! I’m very much a beginner in my spiritual journey. I went to sleep last night like any other day but it was.. different. My dream felt very vivid and my friend who passed away was there. Him and his best friend(he’s alive and well). They were doing their own thing getting in trouble as always but they were happy. I was happy. It was just like before… we went swimming and we ate, drove. We had so much fun… then i was like hold on, you cant be him in my head. But he didn’t disappear. I kept thinking of that in my dream but he was still there so I doubt it was just me dreaming… I wasn’t trying to contact my friend in any way. I haven’t thought of him since very long ago too. So I was wondering if this is just a dream or… was he visiting me?
