Just as the title says… she passed after a very long battle with cancer, in 2019. I was at hospice with her, asleep, when she took her last breath. I haven’t had any dreams of her since that time, and in those dreams, she was still very ill and struggling. They were really upsetting dreams.
For the past week, she’s been in my dreams. Just, there: spending time with her grandchildren, just around the corner in a hallway of my old house, even meeting us at the movies to see something her grandkids would love.
She looks better. Like her old self. Man, do I miss her so much.
We don’t speak – she smiles and we are comfortable and familiar enough with one another that we just are in normal situations together without talking. Only after I wake do I realize that I’ve missed an opportunity to ask her questions or even hear her voice.
I look forward to going to bed lately, in case I get to see her again.
I wonder why it’s taken her so long? Does it take a lot of energy for spirits to visit us? I’m new to all of this and would greatly appreciate any input. Thank you so much in advance.
