You’ve chosen some really nice pieces and had them framed. You don’t take down a painting because the artist is retired or dead. These are beautiful and aovely reminder of your now grown children.
    Don’t take them down.

My mom had art from my siblings up until she remodeled the house after we were older. She moved the art to a different place, but she kept it. Is it really so weird to keep them up? I think it’s fine. Especially if it brings you joy when you see it.

I’m going to be a grandma in November; I will start gradually replacing them with art from my little scorpio!

Move them to the front entryway, more people will see them!

If it makes you happy, keep it up. There’s nothing wrong with it staying up, I think it’s beautiful.

If they make you happy and they’re in your house, I’d say keep them.

OP – why is she saying you should take them down?

I would ask your children how they feel about it. If they don’t want them up then take them down. If they are still proud of that work then by all means leave them up!

No, don’t take them down! You enjoy them, so there’s no reason to change your house just because your sister said you should.

HELL NO. My kitchen walls are a monument to my kids’ hilarious and amazing artwork, and I absolutely love it. I can’t wait until I have enough to have it spill out into other rooms. It brings such a sweet energy to the home.

I’m 30 and my mum still has my framed childhood art on the walls. It makes me feel so loved.
