NDE’s and brain function after death

These past two years of my life has been awful due to the fact that i suffer from really bad anxiety.

The concept of death really scares me, I’m afraid that when I die everything just turns black, and I’ve been seeking comfort by reading different stories on this sub, but i always seem to focus on articles about NDE’s and the brain.

If the brain functions after death and is alive for a period of time, isn’t it then just the brain showing us the afterlife?

I wanna be proved wrong, that’s why I’m trying to get into mediumship, but i guess I’m just a skeptic.
