Looking for information on Astology. What/who got you into astrology? Been trying to dive into it to understand how it all works, but it’s hard to know the best route to take for a noob.

Don’t buy the first “astrology” book you find in book stores. There are a lot of books that don’t have useful information. There are even books that only have info on signs. For me a book which doesn’t have info on planets is not a real astrology book. Besides there are book that show the significations of signs, houses and planets without explaing why each simbol has those meanings. It’s like planet = A and sign = B. Those books are not helpful because beginners won’t get the fundamentels of why that is.

What I have said about books can be said about online pages and even youtube channels. Tho, I will show what I think are the best for beginners.

    Books:
    – Astrology Using the wisdom of the stars in your everyday life, by Carole Taylor. (an easy astrology book to read).
    – On the Heavenly Espheres by Luis Ribeiro and Helena Avelar ( a realy good book with all the major fundaments. It doesn’t has all planets in all signs list. Tho it explains all things we should have in mind in the astrological interpretation).
    – Traditional Astrology Course: Essential Concepts and Interpretation by Luis Ribeiro and Helena Avelar. (Basicaly the 2nd volume which is more pratical and has a structure of a course).

    Sites:
    – sevenstarsastrology.com (it has post struture like a course, again it has more focus on explaining the meanings and showing how we should do the interpretation than showing all the placements for free).
    – astro.com (a good site to get free natal charts and other useful charts).

    Youtube Channels:
    – The Astrology Podcast (has a lot of useful videos on different topics).

Astrology has many topics so I would sudges any beginner to start slow. Go to the next topic only when you feel you understand the first. Learn houses and aspects only when you are sure you understand the planets. It is also useful to get a note book and writing down what you are learning.

No problem! Yes, you are a virgo. You can always check it by looking up your horoscope, if you are unsure 🙂

I first went on cafe astrology and Astro.com etc. I got various apps. I got “The Only Astrology Book You’ll Ever Need” and “Astrology, a Cosmic Science.” There’s lots of info on the internet you can glean from, and many many more books on the subject.

Start with the signs. Learn everything you can about them. After that you can start on planets and aspects. Then go to houses. That was the order I was taught and it really worked for me.
