Beginner to tarot here and, as a disclaimer, I don’t typically read with the RWS deck.
I definitely don’t see the Tower as inherently negative. It just means intense change and upheaval. More specifically, I see the Tower as meaning a paradigm shift or overthrowing of an old system for a new one. For that reason, I actually have a slight positive association with the Tower, because I see it as relating to personal liberation, social justice, and revolution.
The imagery of the Tower can be frightening, but be aware that the violence of the Tower isn’t necessarily literal violence. Things won’t stay the same, but you shouldn’t feel that the change will necessarily be overwhelming or bad.
In your case, I would interpret the Tower as a positive sign. If you were living in a place with mean roommates, pest infestation, and bad memories, it sounds like you *need* a huge change. This could be a sign that you’re going to get it.
I don’t want to paint an overly rosy picture and say that things will be great from now on; life doesn’t work like that, and given the unfortunate lack of understanding and respect for autistic people in our society (I say this as a neurodivergent person myself), I feel like it’s important to remind you to continue to be an active advocate for yourself. I can’t guarantee that this won’t be a disaster, either, but I wouldn’t expect one. Whatever happens, I hope that you can take inspiration from the Tower’s energy so that even if you have to go through something unpleasant, you can make it a positive transformation in the end.
Good luck with your move! I hope things go well for you!
