It’s been a really rough year for me. Anxiety has been at an all time high, family exposing their racist & homophobic ideation, reconnecting with old trauma, and the pandemic as the cherry on top. 3 weeks ago I was struggling with suicidal thoughts and an ongoing feeling of worthlessness.

I’ve been doing a lot of inner child work since this past weekend, and I feel like I’m finally breaking away from past experiences. I’m actually starting to feel like myself again instead of existing for the comfort of others.

I had a really great session with my therapist yesterday where we talked about the responsibilities I hold onto for other people, and that it’s okay to put them down (the 6 of Swords has been a common draw). It’s all sinking in now, and I’m just feeling really good about the deconstruction of the Tower I’ve built.

Edit: Thank you all for the kind comments and messages (and my first ever Reddit award)! It’s tough to feel isolated from community, so I really appreciate the connection and outreach!

This echoes my past few weeks…and where i am now. I also pulled the tower a few days ago. It was a sigh of relief to me. I must admit. Im so happy you are rejuvenating. New moon energies!

This is why I actually love the Tower card tbh. It gets a lot of shit, but sometimes we need a change, or to deconstruct our current positions. Large changes aren’t always bad, neither are unexpected or sudden changes. Especially when you’ve been having a rough go.

Glad things are looking up and that it’s been helpful for you 🙂

Yes! Sometimes those buildings gotta burn so something beautiful can grow in the ashes, sounds like you have been doing amazing work! I hope you get all the rest and recovery you deserve!

Isn’t it interesting how a stereotypically cataclysmic card can come to symbolize hope, in certain contexts? I used to freak out when I saw the Tower — but recently it gave me huge amounts of hope, in context of the election and everything going on surrounding that.

Anxiety sucks — I’m super glad you have a good therapist and that you’re finding ways to feel better. Keep going! You can totally do it. I know you can. You are important, and you need to stick around.

Incidentally, a book that really helped me is the Anxiety & Phobia Workbook, by Bourne.

Wow, that’s really awesome. I love the tower card and been pulling it a lot recently as well. I am happy for you that you’re starting to feel better. May I ask what you do for inner child work?

This is awesome I’m so happy for you! I pulled the tower a couple times a few weeks ago and I was like… oh no because I assumed it meant a disaster was near. But last week I realized the crumbling of the tower was coming from within myself, not my external circumstances. I basically had an awakening and realized I’m not happy with my current life situation. Which was difficult for me to realize but now I’m working towards some new plans for the future and practicing enjoying the journey rather than waiting for the destination. The tower can be a beautiful card.

I can relate! A couple of months ago I was going through a really bad mental health state, the worse it had ever been, the first card I pulled was the tower and I cried with relief. It was as if the universe was understand how much I was going through but in my heart I knew this meant it couldn’t get any worse! I hope it’s the same for you!

YASS. I love getting The Tower, in a weird, kind of bittersweet way. I’m excited for what’s coming next for you!!! You will NEVER regret giving yourself this gift. ♡

Congrats on getting through a difficult time and I’m so sorry to hear about your suffering. I hope you have continued healing & find relief.

I also have really been appreciating some of the more dramatic or ominous cards, because wow…who doesn’t need some transformation & consciousness shifts lately? The cards have been really helpful in forcing me to examine things I’d prefer to ignore, or don’t see during the hustle and bustle of the day-to-day. Turns out my inner self has some things out would like to say. ????

Best of luck on your journey.✌️

I pulled the Tower for my January month card, and I experienced some of the most profound experiences of expansion and growth of my life. It’s like all the limiting shit needed to just crumble away for me to start over. Sometimes we need the chaos of the Tower to truly heal!
