What’s the mortar and pestle made out of? I’ve always been curious about wooden ones. What do you use it for?

That’s a Selenite. They are grounding, cleansing and purifying.
You can make a protection grid out of them, by putting one in each corner of your room and then doing a ritual to seal it off.

They’re also great to carve sigils into.

And a piece of totally none judgmental information because I don’t throw rocks in glass houses. Mirrors intensify and reflect energy, especially and alter. So that messy room chaos will be reflected into your life and magic. Again, my place is FAR worse, so my solution was no mirror on the alter. Mirrors in the house do it too but that’s just a lesson I hope to eventually learn before I die. Maybe.
