I did a New Moon Shadow tarot spread as follows. I would appreciate your interpretation of this:

    1. The Hermit- What shadow aspect do I need to focus on

I hate people (I know how stupid it sounds) because whenever I interact with people, I’m hurt. Being with people triggers my issues and whenever I open my heart and become vulnerable, my poor heart ends up being wounded again. So being alone is actually a shadow aspect of mine.

    2. The Hierophant- How it is impacting my daily life

I am a very conservative person and bound by rules.

    3. Five of Wands- What needs to be acknowledged and released

Careless, chaos are the main themes of this card. There is an abundance of energy but it has no direction. I suffer from the same issue. I don’t have any goals and hence end up wasting my time.

    4. The Justice-What lesson does this teach me

Now this is where I’m confused. Justice tells us to live within the limits of rules and laws but with Hierophant in the second position, tarot advised me to not be so dogmatic. I don’t understand the significance of Justice in this position.

    5. Queen of Swords- How can I use this knowledge in my current situation

Queen of Swords has that kind of badass energy associated with lone survivor but wasn’t loneliness my shadow attribute? Confusion confusion.

Hermit – The Hermit is showing you how you’re acting, not your shadow. Your shadow is being extroverted, gregarious and social, like the 3C. Tarot gave you this card to highlight the issue.

Hierophant – Conservatism can easily become a rut and an escape from the world if we let it. Sometimes that’s its appeal.

5W – There are conflicts within you between being social and being alone, between being with other people and shunning them, between doing what’s easy and trying for something better, etc.

Justice – Justice reminds you to seek balance in how you live your life. You have to find a way to interact with other people productively without being so vulnerable that you frequently get hurt.

QS – Rely on your head, not your heart, to guide you in social situations. Don’t open up casually, save that for people who have earned your trust.
