Whenever I see swords, especially King, it always gives me the impression of “GET TO THE POINT” (ha) like, “it’s time to be decisive.” Classic interpretation of KS is that it’s someone who is decisive and intellectual, if I’m remembering correctly.

You mentioned that your relationship is kinda confusing and you’re not sure where it’s going.
The King of Swords could be saying that it’s time to make a decision and be open and honest with him about how you feel. Or, maybe your SO might be thinking it’s time to make a decision about your relationship status. Trust your instincts and good luck!

So as I said I am still getting familiar with card interpretations and such. This spread regards me and this guy I’m dating. I know the courts are meant to represent people so this spread should be easy to read but I’d love some second opinions!

For me queen of swords does not actually have qualities that I identify with much, as I am a super flighty emotional person. I am much more prone to drawing Knights and Pages for myself. But I do see it maybe as the way I present myself to this guy (put together, smart, honest).

King of Pentacles in regards to him kind of makes sense because I look up to him and feel he is very secure in himself, and also seems to know what he wants and is pretty conscious materially. Maybe he could be a steady source or support for me? He is also very spontaneous though so I am unsure if I am reading it right.

Finally, I don’t know what King of Swords for the significator is indicating in this situation. Maybe that our relationship is best developed by being honest and articulate? We both enjoy intellectual conversations so I see it as maybe the relationship could be seen as mature. This just feels like it conflicts with my insecurities particularly. Overall, I don’t FEEL like either of us would fit into mature roles like this, but maybe I am not reading it correctly!

Could you give us a little background on your relationship? Are you pulling cards because you have specific concerns? Also, did you ask a specific question of the cards?

From the information you give I think and the spread you choose, I think QoS and her facing toward him (KoP) is you want to ask him about the relationship what is going on between you two.

And for his KoP I see that he is not a casual guy and also thinking about this issue, it is just that maybe he doesn’t have confidence enough to ask you directly about this either? Maybe some past relationship holds him back from taking action.

For KoS is just reality rolling its eyes, and hope you two have an open conversation about the future of this relationship soon before someone gets hurt.
