Hey there- ive been knees deep in spirituality for over a year now and started wondering into the craft just a few months ago. I finally got my hands on (a very cheap) starter tarot deck. I want this deck to just help with identifying cards, practice my shuffling, ect. I got a nice notebook to write interpretations of the cards, and to write my readings down when I get a better deck. For some help, can anyone link some good websites for card interpretations? Any other advice is welcomed.

Edit: thank you so much for the advice and the support. It may not seem like a lot, but I think this is the most interaction I have had within the year of having reddit and being a frequent poster. I am overwhelmed by the support and the advice, thank you again. Blessed be ????

If you go into the about section on this sub there is a beginners thread that I found incredibly helpful. I’d start there.

In non covid times I would say go to your local library and get a tarot book. If you have a Rider Waite or Rider Waite inspired deck almost any book will be an okay starting place.

I use an app called Golden Thread tarot (recommended to me). It a Rider-Waite based deck with good definitions and basic spreads. Also, if ur trying to memorize the cards and what they mean, I highly recommend studying numerology and finding patterns urself between cards. It really helps.

Something that has helped me is learning to identify the themes and concepts of each tarot card into your daily life. They are meant to be reflections of experiences and lessons in your life that everybody shares and by the time you become an adult you would have had exposure to each cards message. Challenging yourself to identify the cards in your daily events will so help broaden your understanding of the card and better capture it’s essence in a read. The notebook will come in so handy for this.
