of my 10 or so homies, the 2 that have it are in incredibly competitive careers and seemed to have found themselves there early — like one is an ex who is a touring musician. his father was a musician and he just knew ever since he can remember that he would be a musician too, went to the best performing arts schools and all of that.

the other one is a journalist and while i don’t know his story as deeply, he’s very passionate about this and it’s how i know him cos i work in a realm he frequently investigates. i believe he’s always known that this was for him, too.

i know hella people in competitive careers but most had to change into it or they’re floundering now, shit like that… but these two definitely always seemed to know. that’s the best I can tell you. i have no fucking clue what the opposition for node and mc means but that’s what commonalities i have for my 2 friends who have it in their natal. <3

I have this natal placement, and I’m still working through it myself.

But from what I understand, you just need to fully embody the traits of the NN sign & house, as you already possess the skills of the sign & house of the SN. That’s your comfort zone, been there done that. I’m assuming your SN is also conjunct the MC; so this means you were known for those SN traits in a past life, but to the extreme.

For example: my SN/MC is 28° & 29° cancer respectively in the 9H. My NN is 28° Capricorn in 3H. In my past life I may have been very similar to a mother Theresa figure: overly giving, had a savior complex, didn’t work, took care of others, possibly smothering, highly religious/spiritual etc. Though there are positives with Cancer of course, I overdid it in the past. In this life, I do tend to “mother” others and feel like I need to help everyone; but my life’s lesson is to put myself first, “parent” myself, become an authority in my chosen career (3H is the self made & communication house, so quite literally it’s to become a CEO in my chosen field), speak up for myself, communicate what I have concrete evidence of, and exercise better boundaries (I’m a libra rising & 12H too). I must say I’ve had a savior complex with my younger brother and just so happens, his moon is conjunct my SN exactly. It’s left me feeling unappreciated and inadequate for many reasons… SN conjunct Chiron also.

Depending on which signs you have, look at the 1,4,7 & 10H’s to see what you’re duty is in this life. You need to move away from the signs “extreme” energy if your SN conjunct MC. I hope this helps.

I usually interpret the MC as “reputation” which can be work/career related but always on a larger “outward perspective”/”social perception” scale. When the transit South Node hits the MC I believe it is “releasing” whatever does not serve that MC space.

Natally speaking, my husband has North Node (4th house in Leo) opposite his MC natally (10th house in Aquarius) and knowing him and his career and life, I fully interpret this as his “soul’s purpose” in this life to get out of the ‘we’ in his career/reputation and more fully embrace the ‘me’ in his home/family life. His job has required a lot of “on call” work and since having children, he’s been working to find a job that gives him some more work/home life balance (and we did that with our most recent move this year)..that’s ultimately what I interpret the ‘theme’ of natal NN opposite MC in charts when I see them; whatever the traits of signs in the respective houses, there’s an indication that the soul requires/wants balance of those two very strong points in the chart.

can anyone tell me what mine might mean? my south node is in libra 10th house, my midheaven, jupiter, sun and mercury are also there, but my north node is in aries 4th house, i always wanted to be an artist or do something connected to art since i was little, i wanted to go to art university and make it my career but i also always cared about my family and closet people to me. So i’m just really confused, does it mean that i still have a chance of being a successful artist be able to express myself through art as it’s something i’m passionate about but need to find balance between that and my loved ones? like my future wife, my parents sister etc. i’m super confused ahh, i can also add my ascendant is in sagittarius
