CharlesParticipantSo I have my north node in libra in the second house. When I look to youtube astrologers to decipher this on my own, They seem to contradict each other a bit. They say, libra NN is asking you to accept help from other people, but NN in second house is asking you to try to make it (financially) on your own. I’m confused lol. I’ve lived most of my life with a lot a hardships, especially in the money department. And am looking to my natal chart to figure out the best way to build success. So what is the best way, do you think, that I could decipher my NN activity? Thank you 🙂

GuestJanuary 31, 2021 at 2:43 pmThe default NN in Libra meaning to me is more like: you need some balance between your personal will and the needs of others. Could this mean your building of financial stability requires you to step back from some sort of self-assertive, competitive or maybe lone-wolf stance and consider others in a way you havent before?

GuestJanuary 31, 2021 at 2:43 pmThe nodal axis is supposed to a balancing act. In this regard, I’m doing a terrible job, but from my understanding, the balancing act is somewhere in the middle. You don’t throw away your South Node like I’m doing yet you also don’t avoid your North Node, especially when it’s in 2nd house.
Your North Node being in Libra strongly emphasizes my point since Libra is represented by the scales, but really, the nodes of any axis are always a balancing act of being somewhere in the middle, not discarding the traits of one side or the other but integrating the best of both sides into your personality and life in general.
You don’t want to be *too* dependent on others helping you, but the way I see it is this. When you break your arm, you don’t just “deal with it” on your own, do you? You see a doctor. It’s sometimes best to see a professional about certain issues instead of braving it alone like independent Aries.
I have no idea how I’d interpret your North Node being in 2nd house, specifically, but that’s just a problem with me also having North Node in 2nd house and having basically a similar struggle. I’m supposed to be financially independent as well. Yeah, good luck to me on this one. My North Node shares a house with Uranus and Neptune. I guess I have to see how much credibility my claim of being a “late-bloomer” holds up. For the time being, while I mostly reject my South Node, I still face a struggle of how I earn my own money.
Overall, you might be able to get some profession ideas from your Midheaven. Like, for example, my Midheaven is in Virgo and I want to be a writer. If the Midheaven doesn’t point you in the right direction, maybe look at its ruler, the house it’s placed in, and its aspects.

GuestJanuary 31, 2021 at 2:43 pmI have this exact placement and I’m trying to figure out what the real meaning is of this placement. My Mars loosely conjuncts my NN, so I’m very driven to make my own money.
I think what it may mean is that you need to be in an environment where teamwork is important while also giving you financial independence. It’s taking care of others and yourself simultaneously. You mentioned in a comment that you would like to work in music. Perhaps you should be in a band?

GuestJanuary 31, 2021 at 2:43 pmIt seems like partnership/cooperation and values/self esteem/material/property would be the themes here.
I have a taurus NN, and have also had money hardships in the past, seeking security and learning “value” so to speak.
My best insights so far have come from doing my draconic chart and seeing where the 12th houses overlap. They do indeed point to the sore spots I’ve experienced in my journey.

GuestJanuary 31, 2021 at 2:43 pmI can definitely see where this one is confusing! Maybe something like accepting help from others (not *actual* money… perhaps a mentorship? Or even a financial advisor?) will allow you to be financially independent? And the “trap” or downfall could be doubting others and their help and trying to be too independent (beyond financially, just in general), which will not serve you in terms of finances.
Just a guess!
I have a friend with the inverse of you, which I interpret as having a downfall of relying on others to financially support you. She feels called to become a grief counselor/death doula (self-employed), which I think really embodies embracing the 8th House NN in Aries, which is also aspected by her Midheaven.
I’m 4th House SN in Libra and 10th House NN in Aries, which is pretty clear.
