Offerings without an altar?

I want to give an offering to a deity, but not necessarily work with them, so I don’t see the point in setting up an altar for them. Is there some other way to give an offering without the use of an altar?

Wherever you typically do witchcraft, or in a location significant to the entity you’re trying to appeal to.

Yeah! The way I would do it would be to cast a circle or otherwise prepare your space, and then directly in front of you set up your offering and devote it to the entity for whom it’s intended, stating your thanks or desire or what have you. Close your ritual when you’re ready, and if it’s biodegradable you can bury it. If it isn’t, keep it somewhere that seems suitable for however long seems right to you, and then discard it.

I’m new and I’m not gonna do this yet because it sounds dangerous but what will you be doing, what are you offering and who are u trying to appeal to because I’m so confused rn 😓
