GuestJanuary 31, 2021 at 6:42 pmlet’s not get crazy with “best,” but yes I would say it has potential… my bf is opposite sun (sag:gem), and I’ve seen quite a few pisces:virgo opps work well too
but! the rest of the chart matters too!

GuestJanuary 31, 2021 at 6:42 pmI don’t know that it’s the best combination. I think that they’re strong combinations *when* they work because in many cases they offset each other’s vulnerabilities.
But they can also clash spectacularly, so they can just as easily end up being one of the worst combinations.
And as has been noted already, a lot also depends on the moons, risings and such as well.

GuestJanuary 31, 2021 at 6:42 pmThere is no “best” by just sun signs. So, sometimes opposites work, sometimes they don’t. Synastry is actually very complex. If you want to get a better understanding, this will help. And the guest author’s book is good.

GuestJanuary 31, 2021 at 6:42 pmi think the opposition is one of the more interesting aspects in astrology. In some synastry charts, they are like “two sides of the same coin” or provide a counterpoint to each other’s strengths and weaknesses. But, among other things, the reaction also depends on the particular planets involved. In my synastry study, I often see marriage partners where the sun or moon of one person falls in the 7th house of the other. Suns in opposite signs, or the Sun/Moon opposition are also can create strong magnetism.
OTOH, oppositions can create clashes and defensiveness between partners. Each person just has to be ‘right’ about their point of view lol. Sometimes a mars-mercury or mars-moon is a red flag (depending on the entire synastry of course). The opposition is also seen in one-sided attractions, especially if Venus is involved, though again depends on the people involved. Hope that helps 🙂

GuestJanuary 31, 2021 at 6:42 pmI don’t know but I wouldn’t ever date a capricorn. Never know one but sounds difficult for me as a cancer.
I like feelings, opening up to my partner and emotional security on a regular base. But when I see the descriptions of capricorns (workaholic, emotional unavailable, etc.) I just want to get off.
