Orbs and Ascendant

Does the rising sign ‘have orbs’? I heard it doesn’t because it’s a fictional point and not a planet. Does the ascendant form aspects at all?

Angles only recieve aspects, which means they are affected by the planet but not the other way around. Conjunctions to angles make that planet super prominent in the chart though. It’s confusing.

Orbs are a term describing a planet’s energy influence. Without energy, nothing can cast energy out towards other planets. Each planet sends energy out and receives it. Asteroids also send and recieve energy, however most are too small to send very far so they would have to be within about 2 degrees of a planets to have any effect.
The rising or ascendant sign isn’t a planet, its a house. There are 12 houses, each representing a different area(s) of life. The ascendant sign is technically the first house, which denotes sense of self and identity. Your other houses progress through the other signs, each house “housing” the energy of the sign it’s in. Houses can’t send energy, only recieve it. Planetary energies can influence it but not vice-versa.

Tl;dr The rising sign can’t send energy out since it’s not a planet or another body in space, but a house. However, with aspects to planets or close proximity with planets or asteroids (and certain stars) it can receive energy that changes the way it expresses.

From what i understand orbs are just for planets and luminaries. I’m not sure if nodes, comets do have orbs. As for points as ascendants or MC I don’t think so but i could be wrong. To answer your second question i think Ascendants do form aspects
