Weird experience- need advice

so my friend and i finally decided to crack out my personalized beautiful oak board for the first time tonight. we avidly communicate with spirits in other mediums but this was the first time we used a board. the vibes were great, we were using tons of protection, we took every step correctly, and the board DID work, but as soon as we asked our first question which was “is anyone here?”, it immediately moved itself calmly over to the “goodbye” spot. we respected it, said goodbye and thanked it, and properly cleaned up after ourselves. any idea what this could mean? like i said- no bad vibes, we weren’t scared (although we were shocked it worked), so it didn’t feel negative whatsoever about it. we’re just confused. it almost felt as if it was protecting us in a way.

That’s a great outcome’ better than mine. I used it years ago and had issues afterwards for a while with weird occurrences…but I was too young and was not using any protective pieces like you did…Perhaps the spirit was in no mood to speak esp. if you were using protective agents as you stated’ as I have understood speaking to others that it attracts only earth bound spirits that are “unsure and haven’t reached the other side yet” but I don’t know for certain.
