People say when you are young you are more like your Moon but when you get older you become like your sun. it was the opposite for me.

I was always told you always act like your rising throughout your whole life, but when people get to know you, what they get to know after your rising depends on your age.
Pre-Saturn return, it would be your moon, then after your first Saturn return it’d be your sun.
For example, I’ve always acted like a crackhead (Gemini rising), but usually when people got to know me, they’d see I was really compassionate, empathetic, and easily hurt (Pisces moon), but now when people get to know me and get past my Gemini rising, they realize I’m a chaotic hot mess that loves to run my mouth, laugh, and engage in all sorts of foolishness (Sag Sun).
Not that my Pisces moon has gone A N Y W H E R E (I still have too many feelings to deal with), but my Sun sort of mellows it out and gets to be the star of the show now. Before my Saturn return (which I’m still in the middle of, tbqh), my Pisces moon was, uh, OVERWHELMING. But I’m slowly starting to find a good balance 🙂

Same here! I was a very aloof and unemotional child. Very independent and riding my own wave. (Aqua sun) but as I’m older I resonate so much more with my Leo moon.

Kinda! As a child I was very sensitive, empathetic, the kindhearted ‘motherly’ figure of my peers, I have a lifelong friend who describes the me back then as ‘pure of heart’ even. (Cancer sun) Nowadays, I resonate a lot with the moody, overwhelmingly/intensely emotional being that is my Scorpio moon. However I still get told I’m very ‘aggressively Cancer’, though I wonder if that just comes with the territory of having both your sun and moon in water signs.

same. capricorn sun, and i was a very shy, reserved child. now I’m feeling a lot more like my sociable gemini moon!

To be honest chart placement seems to a better whole representation of the person. A Leo with sun in the 12th . Along with say With moon in the 8th and say mars in a water sign . One would see a much different person than a typical Leo. Much more reserved and Introverted.
Astrology is much more complex than I’m a Virgo so I’m this and that but yes Virgo means very picky . Lol . Or At least they notice details .
Life experiences also seem to adjust one’s personality. Say you always thought of others before yourself and you then realize that you are being used or taken for granted. That would trigger a change . New friends , new job, new beliefs , new habits . Etc
But I’m not an expert. Others feel free to chime in. -

Me too. Cancer sun and Capricorn moon. Def resonate a lot more with my cap moon now than I did when I was a child.

I think the Progressive chart is more accurate. As we get older, out planets can switch houses or signs.
I definitely became a more fun, easy-going person when my Ascendant went from Scorpio to Sagittarius and my Sun went from the 12th to the 1st house.

100% opposite for me. I was an asshole Leo sun when I was younger and am a mellow, introverted Pisces moon now.
