Aries sun, Aquarius moon, Virgo rising here. I have exactly 0 water placements, but my chart is pretty evenly split between the other 3 elements.

I am definitely not an emotional person, and do not like to talk about feelings unless I feel a deep connection with someone, which is rare. I even dislike hugs and any displays of affection unless I have a very VERY strong bond with someone, then I will drown them in my love and affection.

I think having no water placements has made it difficult for me to form lasting friendships because I have a hard time connecting with people on a deeper level. I love to have multiple “shallow” friendships if that makes sense, and keep one or two people extremely close.

I do find it funny that I seem to be constantly surrounded by water signs. Cancers in particular are attracted to me, I think they try to take care of me lol. My ex is a cancer, so is my sister and two of my close friends. When I say close friends I mean we talk just a handful of times a year (unless we live close) but when we do get together it’s like nothing has changed and we’re still just as good of friends.

I do love my independence and alone time so I’m not too bothered by not having a ton of close constantly in contact friendships in my life. I also hate social media and texting, it feels like a lot to keep up with. I’m terrible at keeping in touch and staying in contact, I’m definitely an in-person kind of person.

So, which element are you mostly or completely missing from your chart and how are you doing? How has it affected you?

No earth sign. I find it hard to stay grounded.

The only water in my chart is my Jupiter in Pisces. I’m the exact same way with keeping in touch with good friends who don’t live in the same place as me, I’m terrible at it lol but I don’t mind bc every time we’re back together it’s like nothing ever changed.
I don’t have a TON of water signs in my life, it’s mostly fire and earth. (I’m a Gemini sun, Virgo moon, Leo rising.) my primary element is air with earth close behind, then fire. However, I don’t have many air signs in my life either. And water signs seem to be the signs I clash with the most. I find them (the ones I know at least) unpredictable and kind of intimidating? And I think I frustrate them with my inability, or hesitation, to get very emotional or reveal very personal things about myself.

im missing any fire signs except my saturn aries and pluto sag but as a pisces stellium with mars in virgo i would say my chart is a Mess and so is my brain. i think im like the exact opposite of you actually having mostly water signs and little of anything else and i feel way too emotional but have massive anxiety because im missing my healthy anger response and sense of adventure ????

I only have 1 generational planet in water and I’m kind of the same as you. Not a lot of fire either, all of my inner planets are earth/air. Jupiter is fire (is that inner?).

My family growing up are all heavy air, but I always had water sign close friends and now two water sign daughters. Like I seek out what I’m lacking I guess

I don’t have any water in my chart either (mostly fire… then air, then earth) and I totally feel you with this. When I first saw the lack of water in my chart I was quite surprised because I’m a big sensitive crybaby (who at that time clearly didn’t know anything about astrology), but the more I read and learned, the more I understood that there’s a lot more to it than that and the more it made sense. It’s always been difficult for me to talk about my feelings and be vulnerable: my friends will open up to me and I’ll talk with them about their feelings, but I rarely discuss my own problems with anyone. I’m a very private and independent person and I’ve never felt the need to constantly be in contact with others. Social media has just never been for me at all. I also much prefer to see people face to face, so this past year’s been tough on my friendships (which, like yours, tend to be more “shallow”). A year and a bit ago I met someone I really instantly connected with on more than a surface level but obviously none of the plans we had went ahead due to pandemic restrictions. I used to be good at replying to friends’ messages etc, but over the last year I’ve become terrible at it due to not being able to actually see them. I feel like I’ve basically just echoed what you’ve already said, but I relate completely!

No air in my chart, don’t believe in the possibility of objectivity, not do I see why it is a desirable trait. I get around this by putting me in situations that challenge my biases, if they hold up, cool. If they don’t, then they need to be reevaluated into new, better biases. Feelings are the basis for my intellect, if something feels wrong, it probably is and intellectual analysis is useful for finding out why.

I’m all Fire and Earth. I find it hard to feel emotion for a prolonged period. Dwelling on them is hard as is understanding them. The typical response is to act upon something, to make things happen.

    It’s a curse

I don’t have any air in my chart and it’s tough! I have a lot of earth (& primarily taurus) placements and it would be really nice to have more motivation to counteract the laziness. I have a ton of ideas but not many of them come to fruition… sigh…

Water is my missing element. I find it hard to deeply connect with people and I won’t open up unless they ask me questions about myself.
Looking back through my life the friends I felt closest with all have a water sun sign. Both of my closest friends now have water ascendant and my husband is completely water.

No water. I’d say you summed us up quite well.

Little fire, however my only fire is my Leo moon – which has some prominence being a cancer rising. It’s strange. :p
I’m fascinated by fire signs by the way.

I am scorched earth. I am fine. I feel some aspects of my chart must together equal water, because I am as emotional as any cancer I’ve ever met. I also only have 2 air signs, so I am literally scorched earth. I don’t lack any traits nor do I have an over abundance of any others. My chart isn’t balanced, but I am.

I have no fire, unless you found my Aries Lilith or Sagittarius mid heaven, then I guess I do. But as far as my planets go, nope. A lot of Pisces Capricorn scorpio cancer and Aquarius. That’s literally all the signs I have ????

Well I’m water dominant and I strongly relate to everything you just wrote. So I’m not sure those traits of yours are stemming from your lack of water.
