    Just for reference:

    1. **Mars**: Aries + Scorpio (latter co-ruled by Pluto in modern theory)
    2. **Venus**: Taurus + Libra
    3. **Mercury**: Gemini + Virgo
    4. **Jupiter**: Sagittarius + Pisces (latter co-ruled by Neptune in modern theory)
    5. **Saturn**: Capricorn + Aquarius (latter co-ruled by Uranus in modern theory)

My generalized observations based on personal experience and understanding the “essence” of people as opposed the nuts-and-bolts of their personality:

    1. Aries is about the pure externalization of Martian “kill-or-be-killed” energy, whereas Scorpio is about the emotional violence that is oftentimes intrinsic to wanting the truth about people and not always getting it.
    2. Taurus is about bodily/earthly pleasure, whereas Libra is more concerned with notional harmony, balance, etc.
    3. Gemini is driven by localized/immediate interaction with the people around them, whereas Virgo is driven more by acts of service and task management. The quickness of Mercury is found in Gemini’s communication, but in Virgo it’s more applicable to their cognitive processing.
    4. Sag craves experience through the physical realm, whereas Pisces craves it in the interior/emotional realm.
    5. Capricorn bases a lot of its identity on how to “overcome” the tough realities of life, and defines success by how many obstacles they’ve surpassed. Aquarius is wrapped up in broader, more abstract ideas of how humanity as a whole can transcend limitations.

Yes! There’s duality in how the planets are reflected in their signs. Love this interpretation for sun signs especially

I’m not sure why you chose such negative aspects of the Martian signs. Aries is all about “kill or be killed”? Scorpio inflicts emotional violence on others? What exactly is this type of violence that is unique to this sign?

What about emphasizing the Martian drive, determination, ambition, and resilience of Aries and Scorpio? You don’t mention the hedonism of Venus or the authoritarianism of Saturn, but have highlighted such negative aspects of Aries and Scorpio.

I’ve been extra interested in this lately. As a Virgo Sun, I feel like I constantly have to hold myself back in conversation–talk more slowly, don’t interrupt myself mid-sentence to comment on something I just thought of or something going on around me. The only time I feel I don’t have to do this or it isn’t exhausting for the person I’m talking to is when I’m talking to Geminis. I love stimulating conversation just the same as a Mercury-ruled sign, but I’m definitely more likely to jump in and help people than the Gemini I know. I think Geminis often get lost in their heads, whereas that almost never happens to me.
