OnyxtidesMemberHello! So I make pagan prayer beads dedicated to different gods (Aphrodite, Hekate, Morrigan etc) I love holding them while I pray or wear them on days I feel like I need extra comfort, do you use them in your practice? Are they just altar pieces? Etc?

GuestAugust 1, 2022 at 1:31 pmMy coven have used prayer beads many times over the years. We even taken our Beltane roses and made rose beads to make another set of prayer beads. We have it set with 9 clusters of 3 and we pray to the goddess for healings, charge a spell and even get hotel rooms at conferences when the hotel rooms would go in seconds.

GuestAugust 1, 2022 at 1:31 pmYes! I made these beads that are just tailored to me. Unakite which is my favorite stone. Amethyst, some bones and little skulls and such. And a very small, obnoxious bell that jingles with every step I take. Haha. They are wonky and weird , but I carry them everywhere. To pray. To sleep. To wish myself luck , whatever. They’re essential to my craft. ❤️

GuestAugust 1, 2022 at 1:31 pmI’ve actually been thinking about learning more about prayer bead magick and knotwork magick. I like the idea of using something simple that doesn’t require a bunch of ingredients.
I know there are a few people in another Hellenic pagan group I’m in that use prayer beads as part of their deity worship. I haven’t tried this yet.

GuestAugust 1, 2022 at 1:31 pmI’m making some from the instructions in the book the Hekataeon. I have all the pieces but it’s a slow process because jewelry making is hard.
