    Hi guys,

Last night a few hours into a long journey my mind was wandering as it does when you drive familiar roads. I had a weird daydream that I hit and killed a cat with the car. I’m a huge animal lover, I won’t even kill flies or spiders so it left me unsettled but I dismissed it because it was silly.

Low and behold within five minutes a cat-looking animal darted out of nowhere and before I had time to react I hit the poor thing. I was extremely shaken and went back to look for it but couldn’t find it anywhere.

I was fully awake and alert and not at all tired when this happened. I feel awful that I more than likely killed a living creature.

Any thoughts or advise on this? Nothing remotely similar has ever happened to me before. Usually when I get a feeling something bad is going to happen it’s because I’m feeling anxious and over thinking and things usually work out fine. Was it just a horrible coincidence?

It ran. Had it happen many times. I love cats but won’t wreck my car to avoid one. If you love your pets, keep them home.

You experienced yourself in your knowing, for a moment. Unfortunately in your knowing was a creation that arose from fear you carry within you. This fear may be about hurting animals because you are sensitive to their plight as sentient beings who are part of the “food chain”. You see the divinity in animals, but you aren’t sure what you can do about it. Project love to them and to your environment. Work on releasing fear surrounding the discrepancy between what you know to be true about their divine nature, and what humanity has collectively agreed to regarding the keeping and treating of animals as livestock.
