One bright day in the middle of the night, two dead boys got up to fight… Psychic Mediums have the ability to communicate clearly with someone who has died. The client is a guilty grieving loved one with unfinished business, desperately seeking forgiveness and hope in proof of an afterlife. The popularity of the medium reading started with the Fox sisters and ended with Houdini…but its purpose was to give closure to the wives and mothers of all the fathers and sons killed during the First World War. The most popular Medium of my day was John Edward. Today there is that woman and Tyler Henry (which is the real deal, the pre-scribbling says a lot!) You know a medium is fake when the information is general and the replies are…whimsical!

I don’t do Medium readings because I have enough of my own dead constantly taunting me, I don’t need to expand my haunting social circle. I am also terrified of ghosts…because of this most of the entities I do engage with are not previously human, at least not in a time when I am here on Earth.

When I do talk to ghosts…they don’t ask! They completely invoke me and take over my senses. While I can hear them speaking, I don’t like listening and commutate the message by automatic writing. I then take the paper without reading it and pass it on to the person intended. I am extremely empathic and believe my dismissing of death is because I can feel them and identify with the suffering, rather then simply observing and translating like I do during a prediction psychic readings. I get haunted, and my physical body can not handle the pain of unfinished business. However on the astral plane I am hosting the tea parities!

The reason I believe Mediums are the darker shade of pale is because you are not working with humans anymore! Ghosts don’t follow the same laws, and don’t speak or think in a manner that is understood by the average person. Protection spells, salting, and scraping your body clean after a session is so necessary to prevent nightmares, depression and POSSESSION! One thing people forget is ghosts are archetypal, you may think you are talking to your mother when you are really not!

The comment above threw me because the truth hurts! I admit it! I am one of the “Negative Mediums” that waffle on about the terrors that dwell in the darkness, but would love to change my view on the subject! So I ask the sub with upmost sincerity…what is a “Positive Medium”?

you said once that i may be a medium and it turns out that you were very right.

i’d say a “good medium” is one who is able to channel messages fluently without disrespecting the dead or the person you are channeling to… one who allows the messages to go as they are, with a certain amount of both empathy and detachment.

So I can actually answer this, and this is just from my own point of view.

So a more “positive” medium would be someone who understands perhaps, they’re dealing with those who are grieving or vulnerable. It’s not necessarily about the type of spirit or entity your dealing with, but how the medium behaves. Understanding the dark parts of mediumship but also being more upbeat and not perpetually gloomy lol.

For example on the medium sub, I often see people go in with very basic problems, which often aren’t spirt based at all.

One Redditor a few weeks ago said something along the lines of “I’m waking up with scratches all over my body, am I being attacked by ghosts” and a few people said automatically “Yes a dark entity is in your room…” and all the shenanigans associated with such things.

When in fact the chances are they did it in their sleep and they just need to look at how they’re sleeping etc etc.

I also see lots of claims about curses and negative attachments, and that always worries me because of scams like “I’ll remove that negative attachment for £200”.

So by negative and positive this is what I mean essentially, I don’t know if that helps in any way but I’ve tried to explain my thought process.

After my experience with my mother, I noticed she was different. I was happy to see her but she wasnt herself. In some ways it was good and other ways felt disconnected. I mentioned to her that she seemed different and she told me I wouldnt understand. Then in a mostly unspoken communication, I did for a moment. Our bodies have an effect on the way our experience in life is. We have experience that shape our perception and lessons; our vehicle for the soul that binds us to earth. When the body is gone theres no earthly bias any longer except to those who still remain on earth, hence the connection mediums may undertake. I think being a medium is like being a shaman, its a practice more than it is a title. So you perceive yourself as someone who sees them in a negative light, well just like a whimsical reading, they are happy on the other side, they arent wrong but arent right either. Youre negativity might be coming from how you look at grief and the sorrow behind it, the positivity being you get to see them again. Let go of both of those perspectives like you are already walking towards and put them together because they are both true and untrue at the same time. Its much more neutral.

In my dreams, my own earthly bias takes hold and she may be granted a body temporarily but her spirit is much cleaner without bias. I feel as though Ive seen her more true to herself than ever before.
