Usually do all psychics know when they are talking to another psychic? Or is it just random, “ oh you’re psychic. ” I felt like for a while now, that I’ve experienced some sort of abilities but I haven’t gotten one of those, “oh hey yeah you have these ability just by looking at your post. “
Does this have to do with how open you are to being read, the reader, or both? I do try to keep my energy protected. 🤷🏻♀️

It depends on everything you said. Not so much protection; there are no secrets among psychics, so hiding is a dead giveaway, lol.
My wife and I consulted to a businessman that wanted to create a competitor for the now-defunct Psychic Friends Network, which was a 900 # that connected people to readers by phone. Incredibly popular business in the early days.
As part of our consulting, we received readings from 500 readers, with the goal of picking 50 to start the business with. We placed newspaper ads. The readers would call in and leave their number and preferred availability. The ad listed a few evening and day timeslots.
We would call them during their preferred timeframe. We’d talk for a few minutes, then they would read us for no more than five minutes.
New readers that were exploring how this kind of work might fit into their lives were more nervous than experienced readers. A few were very offended that we would even dare to compare two people’s reading abilities because “this is a gift from God and cannot be compared”. The 50 candidates we selected all had 10 years or more of reading experience. Several of them told me how I liked to read, lol. That was fun!
The readers with more experience had clearer auras. When I would broadcast something telepathically, they would notice, but not get distracted.
So, a big tell is the aura. If someone’s been doing a lot of reading or energy work or healing, it shows in their aura. It’s clearer and brighter, and the colors both flow and look crisp.
Another tell is you see them reading you, LOL! I’m walking down the street, wondering about something on the far side of the moon, and someone will put their attention point on me. I’ll look up, lock eyes with them, and smile. Sometimes they’re embarrassed about being caught. Most times, we just laugh.
Psychics have a well developed attention point and when they place it on another psychic, it’s easy to detect.
Some cops and some assholes also have big attention points. Not really well developed like a psychic, but more like a sledge hammer. People like that who try and dominate a psychic with their attention get frustrated. We see what they’re up to, and just deflect or redirect their attention someplace else, and they can’t figure out why they aren’t getting over on us.
Another aspect of recognizing another psychic is manners. It’s bad form to out a psychic without their permission. We all recall the burnings at the stake; it’s a sore point for us, LOL! So even though I recognize another psychic doesn’t mean I’m going to run up to them and shout, “Hey! You’re a psychic! Me, too!” That’s just rude.
When you post something online, it leaves a trail to your energy. Sorry, not sorry, but I see your energy. This is not an ethical issue. The pictures at the edge of your aura are public information. It’s public. Those that can see them will see them. No problem. If they choose to act on what they see, they can cross a line.
Everyone is psychic. We all read each other. People with more developed abilities really should have something like that Spiderman bit about “with great power comes great responsibility”. It’s not different than me being taller and stronger than most of the population; I shouldn’t abuse that strength. I don’t abuse it, and I’m a better person for it.
A few people can shut themselves off from being read. Some other people have special spirit guides that will not allow them to be read. I can’t say how rare those are because I’m just one reader and I haven’t read everyone lol.
TL;DR: It depends. The experience of the reader matters for both people. The energy of both people matters. The setting matters some.

In my experience, this works more on a physical proximity kind of limitation. At least, when it comes to direct nonverbal communication. I’ve met others this way.

And I doubt things like “being open or closed to reading”, that’s bullshit. Those who know how to read read, and those who don’t know don’t read.”
You don’t have to worry about. If someone wants to read something about you and knows how, she will. Simple.

everyone’s psychic in some way. most people don’t know it. i can tell how people are psychic when i speak to them but i don’t ever “read” without permission.
