I’ve owned a tarot deck since I was 12 years old but it took me until 32 to really connect to regular consistent readings.

This year I was gifted a daily tarot journal I am honest to goodness attempting to make regular use of.

I’m a pretty thorough shuffler. I’m not committed to a style or certain way, I’d say I “over shuffle” if anything. I don’t pull cards the exact same way I do any given reading and yet I have been getting themes of cards in weekly or monthly waves since the beginning of the year.

I’d love to hear others experiences with this type of phenomena only because it’s becoming so apparent to me that there’s really something to the introspection and insight that can be gained from regular practice.

How do you shuffle exactly? I know you said you aren’t commited to a certain way, but a few examples would help pin down the issue here

How do you use tarot? Do you subscribe to the occult beliefs of tarot? If so then your guides are trying to guide you towards a certain action and you either haven’t accepted the advice or haven’t taken action. I get repeat cards for weeks until I accept the reading whole heartedly. Even when I think I’ve accepted the reading, sometimes, subconsciously I haven’t.

In the last year of my last marriage, and for about three months after it ended, I kept pulling the eight of swords. Over, and over and over. It was seriously crazy.
At the time my ex was deeply involved in an affair, which I knew about. He was gaslighting the shit out of me and lying and lying and I knew he was lying but I couldn’t say anything – or he would fly into a rage. It was a nightmare.
It’s been five years since I got out of that and I can’t recall ever pulling that card again.
