Question about the title of “Medium”

Hello all

This may be a slightly unusual question but please bare with me.

I’m interested in developing and have been taken on by another medium, a few now in fact (I just like development circles it seems lol).

However I don’t ever see myself wanting to give readings for others in exchange for money etc. I don’t want to perform publicly.

Would you still class that as someone who wants to be a medium ?

I realise titles are quite irrelevant really but I do feel in certain situations a label can be beneficial.

“Medium” refers to a medium for communication. Information passes through you, you are the medium for the information. If that applies to you, you’re a medium.

I’m the same. I don’t want money for it. Trust me, I could use it but for me, thats not why I want to do it. I don’t give myself a label really. I mean, I’m not really sure how to label what I’m doing but technically I guess that’s what I am, a psychic medium.

I think you can still use the title medium. I don’t think it implies it’s your profession.

I struggled with the word medium for many, many years. It is whatever you wish it to be.

If you communicate with spirit and help them or their living relatives, you are a medium. You don’t have to do it professionally.

I finally, had a friend on reddit tell me that I should finally own the label, since I was removing spirit from the homes of children who were being frightened and crossing spirit over, and doing healings.

I can say that I am not a fan of the lingo or the stereotypes. But, I am a medium among other labels.

You don’t need to go pro, to be a medium, or , to know that you are a Medium.
