Question from a beginner

So I’m completely new to tarot. I’m a college student, graduating this year who messaged a somewhat beginner tarot reader about a year or two ago about my overall career, and I recently discovered through a surface level of research that although she didnt give a specific time for all of these events, and she said later that wasn’t her intention, that most of the cards like ‘two of cups’ and ‘tower’ and ‘five of cups’ most likely all had to do with situations pertaining to meaningless part time jobs I had around the time. Is this true? Can these events repeat themselves in my actual career going forward as well, or is tarot really only meant to be primarily focused on the days, weeks, and months ahead, even in no predictive readings? (With the exception of pentacles)

Everyone kinda has their own way of interpreting timelines and how predictive tarot can be, so just know that this is my personal interpretation.

I think tarot is far more accurate when looking at current energies and situations because there are so many variables at play that can change over time. Like your attitude toward your work, the people you work with, your work ethic, job expectations, and so many more things can change over time. So this means that you could be in a totally different situation now (or soon, Since you are graduating this year) and so the energies may be totally different.
However, since change is hard and people change very slowly, most of us do see repeating patterns in our lives.
A goal of tarot (for me at least) is to help us recognize those patterns, and decide if we want to keep them or move away from them. You have control of your life and you can take the info that you get from a tarot reading to create the life that you desire.
