I am not “gifted” but I have had some very, very strange and just plain inexplicable things happen. I think it’s all very interesting, so I thought I’d ask! Much love.

I just let them believe what they want to believe, but if they ask me to prove that I am a medium that is when the fun begins. I knew a man for a long time, I think he went to school with my Mom? and we were at a bar and I told him I was a medium, now this man is in his 70’s he seen a lot of things in life, and he was in the Air Force for over twenty years etc.. Owned his own business, and was very intelligent. and he came back with “if you really are a medium, then what was I doing on the day that my Dad died?” and I started seeing trees and woods and I said I see a knife and two animals, well come to find out he was out in the woods when a long time friend came out to get him telling him his Dad died, and he was gutting out two animals a deer and a beaver? He had a really shocked look on his face and he said yeah that is where I was. This happened a couple of years ago and I still kind of chuckle when I think about it.

Honestly my worry would not be to change their mind. People are allowed to believe what they believe. However, I would change their mind because those people tend to bring out the silliness in my spirit gang and they tend to come immediately to me and let me start reading that person with eerie accuracy. Never had that happen yet that person didn’t walk off from the exchange totally befuddled as to what just happened.

if someone was skeptical, i simply would cease discussions of the matter with that person. i have no desire to proselytize or divulge information to someone who’s just going to think i’m crazy.

Nothing. It’s not my job. I wouldn’t believe this if I couldn’t see it, and I don’t expect anyone else to.

So I think I can be helpful here.

    I’m a sceptic and I’m developing as a medium.

I can read people in my practice group, I see their loved ones in my minds eye. I’ve had quite a lot of positive results.

But do I believe in the afterlife yet ? No. Do I believe the deceased are really coming to me ? No. And there is nothing another person can say to me to make me believe them.

I’ll be completely honest, there’s maybe a handful of mediums on this sub I really trust but I think a lot of people on here… well it is nonsense, fiction or they’ve “read a few books”. I don’t mean it offensively but I just don’t trust a huge portion of the “psychic” community anymore after some experiences. Nothing anyone else could say would truly make me believe, I won’t believe it until I experience it myself.

And it’s also dawned on my lately, mediums in the past have made mistakes by almost gatekeeping it. I used to feel and was told mediumship was a “special gift”. I don’t believe it is, I believe anyone can do it. I’m now of the opinion that if anyone can really do this, if the spirit world is real and we genuinely do pass over to another plane of existence, then everyone has access to this skill, it’s just some people are more open than others.

Just my two cents worth anyway 😂

I have no idea. I have no proof that my feelings are real to them beyond letting them trust me to do my work

I don’t care what others believe because it’s my own experience but one time I had scratches appear on my leg that couldn’t be explained, they burned like acid. Happened the same week an angry mans voice appeared out of thin air and my friend was there so I know I wasn’t imagining it because he heard it too and we just looked at each other in shock. It even made my cat run out of the room!

The more I learn about human nature the more I believe you can’t convince people of things by explanations or arguments. I think if people are going to be open they will come to it in their own time and their own experience. I never thought I’d be into any of this stuff but I felt intuitively led here by my own experiences. I still maintain a healthy dose of skepticism but for me it came down to the fact that both when seeing a medium and an intuitive they both told me enough on the nose, specific things that it seemed like much more than random chance. And in some ways it doesn’t matter because the insight I’ve taken away remains valuable even if it’s not real.

Genuinely curious skeptic here. I have always had this feeling there is something else to this universe. I don’t have the slightest clue. I’ve rejected religion because I think it’s much different than what is taught. I have had experiences that make me believe there’s some kind of spirit world or whatever. I just wish I knew how to confirm what I feel but can’t understand or describe.

“You live your life with purpose, yeah?”

    “Yeah”

    “Then what’s the point?”

    “There is no point”

“Then why do *you* live your life with purpose?*

“So that it’s not so pointless…”

    “Yeah.”

There is no hard and fast proof, a ton of evidence though.

I would tell them lets visit my old duplex I’ve had just about every experience you can imagine poltergeist activity orbs and the shadow man demonic activity it would be enough to convince all doubters and naysayers that the paranormal does exist

I don’t attempt to convince people of anything, personally. I let them do them and they let me do me.
